Nike to include .SWOOSH NFTs in EA Sports Games.
Nike Virtual Studios, which is the digital arm of the sportswear giant Nike, has partnered with video game developer EA Sports to bring digital creations from Nike’s .SWOOSH platform to the EA Sports gaming ecosystem.
While details about the partnership are limited, Nike has stated in a press release that this collaboration will allow .SWOOSH members and EA Sports fans to “express their personal style through play”. This will include “immersive experiences” and “new levels of customization within the EA Sports ecosystem.”
EA Sports is a division of Electronic Arts which publishes popular games such as FIFA and Madden NFL.
Last week, Nike’s .SWOOSH platform released its first non-fungible token (NFT) sneaker collection which surpassed $1 million in sales. The sale of these “virtual creations” started on May 15, however, the experience was marred by technical issues and continuous delays.
As of the time of writing, 97,627 of the Our Force 1 boxes have been sold from the total inventory of 106,453, according to Polygonscan.
