Zuckerberg ready to cage fight Musk in Vegas UFC arena.
The chairman and CEO of Meta Platforms Inc (NASDAQ: META), Mark Zuckerberg, is apparently willing to engage in a cage fight with Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) CEO, Elon Musk. Zuckerberg posted a screenshot of Musk asking for a cage fight, and captioned it with “Send Me Location”.
The exchange between the billionaires began when the founder and CEO of International Blockchain Consulting, Mario Nawfal, tweeted that Meta is developing a rival to Twitter called Threads, and that Meta began working on the project just three months after Musk’s takeover of Twitter. In response, Musk joked that he was willing to fight Zuckerberg in a cage match. Zuckerberg, who has some experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, then requested a location for the fight, to which Musk suggested “Vegas Octagon”.
While it is unlikely that the jesting between the CEOs will lead to an actual physical altercation, it has drawn attention away from the problems both companies are currently facing. Musk is currently fighting a $258 billion lawsuit accusing him of manipulating the price of Dogecoin (DOGE), while Meta has recently announced layoffs and has been hit with a $1.3 billion fine by the EU for violating data protection laws.
